ERIE moved up 53 spots on 2025 list and marks 22 years since debuting on the Fortune 500
Erie Insurance (ERIE) is ranked #323 on the 2025 Fortune 500 list of America’s largest corporations, based on total revenue for the 2024 fiscal year. ERIE moved up 53 spots from last year’s ranking of #376.
“It’s an honor to be ranked on the Fortune 500 and exciting to be climbing this list of successful and well-respected companies,” said Tim NeCastro, president and chief executive officer. “When our founders opened the doors of Erie Insurance 100 years ago, I’m not sure they could have imagined that one day their company would be among the largest in the country. I am sure, however, that they would be proud of ERIE’s lasting success and unwavering dedication to service.”
Companies are ranked on the annual Fortune 500 list based on total revenues for the respective fiscal years. Included in the survey are companies that are incorporated in the U.S., operate in the U.S. and file financial statements with a government agency.
According to Fortune’s news release, this year’s Fortune 500 marks the 71st year of the list. The revenue threshold for making the 2025 Fortune 500 was $7.4 billion, up 4% from a year ago. Retailers, utilities and insurance companies led all industries with the most Fortune 500 companies on the list.
The 2025 ranking marks 22 years since ERIE first debuted on the Fortune 500 list.
