Due to the incredibly high demand, more tickets for “A Conversation with Barack Obama” are now available.

The Jefferson Educational Society, the nonpartisan think tank headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, known for its signature fall speaker series, the Global Summit, announced Wednesday, July 9, that it had added the 44th President of the United States of America Barack Obama to its list of presenters this fall. President Obama will kick-off the 2025 Global Summit on Tuesday, Sept. 16, which will be hosted at the Erie Insurance Arena. “An Evening with President Obama” will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets will go back on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30 through Erie Events, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis until they are sold old. A limited number of tickets are available.

“Over the past 16 years, the JES has hosted renowned thinkers and doers, researchers and practitioners – from Pulitzer Prize-winning historians who remind us of our past and why it is important to study it in the present; to senior fellows from a variety of think tanks discussing topics-of-the-day and how they shape our future; to medical experts working on bleeding-edge research, to scientists taking us to explore the outreaches of the cosmos, to political pundits and analysts who we see often on TV – here, in person in Erie, Pennsylvania,” said Dr. Ferki Ferati, president of the JES. “We are incredibly honored to be hosting ‘A Conversation with President Barack Obama’ on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Erie Insurance Arena. We are grateful that President Obama has accepted our invitation, and look forward to gathering with the community to learn from him.”

The JES will post any further updates to ticket availability to its website, JESErie.org. Tickets purchased on third-party sites will not be honored at the event.
