LECOM Health today held a ground breaking ceremony at the site of the new Colonial Family Pharmacy at 9040 Wattsburg Road, Suite A, in Greene Township.
The new facility will sit adjacent to LECOM Health’s Rural Health Clinic on Wattsburg Road.
“In many rural areas, accessing essential medications and basic healthcare can feel like a hassle with long lines, limited availability, and sparse resources,” said James Lin, D.O., President of LECOM Institute for Successful Living. “But we’re rewriting that story. This new pharmacy means parents can pick up medicine for their children without having to go out of their way. It means elderly neighbors get the support they deserve. It means healthcare closer to home.”
Colonial Family Pharmacy on Wattsburg Road will be a full-service walk-in retail pharmacy, and joins LECOM Health’s existing pharmacy locations – 3822 Colonial Ave. and 5702 Peach St. in Erie, and the new Albion location set to open in the fall.
“Strategically locating the pharmacy next door to our primary care clinic reminds us that this new facility is not simply an expansion of our physical infrastructure and footprint, but an expansion of our ability to impact lives in profound ways,” said Danielle Hansen, D.O., Regional President of LECOM Health. “This pharmacy is a symbol that we will continue to innovate, serve, and improve the lives of the people who entrust us with their care. LECOM Health provides hometown healthcare – led by, cared for, and delivered by your community, in your community.”
The Wattsburg Road location will provide prescription drug filling, immunizations, medication therapy management, medication monitoring, delivery/curbside service, over-the-counter products, medication counseling, and excellent customer service.
