Democrats sweep Erie County elections

Erie County voters handed Democrats a big win across the board in the Municipal General Election on Tuesday.

Christina Vogel defeated Brenton Davis for Erie County Executive, and Emily Merski captured the Common Pleas judgeship. Daria Devlin won the Erie Mayor’s race by a wide margin, while Chris Campanelli stayed Sheriff. Democrats also swept City Council.

The Millcreek Township Supervisor’s race goes to Democrat Kylie Morris.  Democrat Jim Wertz wins the Erie County Council District Two race, while Republican Charlie Bayle takes the Erie County Council District Six contest.

Millcreek Township voters approved a new “manager-council” form of government.
