The Erie Regional Chamber, in collaboration with Scott Enterprises, welcomed more than 120 students from Eagles Nest School of Academic Distinction for a special Spirit of Erie Day today at Splash Lagoon.
The event is designed to foster community engagement and connect with local youth through an educational and fun-filled experience at Splash Lagoon. Students participated in an educational presentation from Scott Enterprises before enjoying the attractions in the waterpark.
The event is part of the Spirit of Erie, the Erie Regional Chamber’s signature celebration, which has expanded this year into a weeklong series of community events highlighting the people, organizations, and causes that help make Erie a strong and vibrant community.
“The Spirit of Erie is about celebrating our community, and that celebration should include our youth. We’re proud to bring Spirit of Erie into the community and create opportunities for students to learn, connect, and experience what our city has to offer,” said Brandon Mendoza, President & CEO of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. “We hope these students leave knowing they are valued, and have an important place in the future of our community.”
Spirit of Erie Day at Splash Lagoon kicks off Spirit of Erie Week, a weeklong series of community celebrations leading up to the Spirit of Erie Awards Banquet at the Bayfront Convention Center on Thursday, Sept. 10.
