For the past five years, individuals, youth groups, Sunday School classes and other caring groups, have created homemade valentines for the annual Healing Hearts project, sponsored by our sister station, 106.3 WCTL. Today, over 5,000 greetings were delivered to more than thirty personal care facilities and nursing homes, according to project organizer and WCTL co-host Lori Clapper.

Their mission is simple. “The mission of the Healing Hearts project is to give a more meaningful approach to Valentines’s Day. Just a time during this mid-winter, to come together as a community, and impact and show love to those that may need a little encouragement this time of the year, and who may not have anyone to show them love,” Clapper said.
