Erie, PA – Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper is pleased to announce that Melissa J. Dixon will be joining her administration as public information officer, effective Sept. 9. Dixon replaces Kristin Bowers.
With more than 12 years of experience in publications and communications, Dixon most recently served as the sales communication project manager for Scholastic Book Fairs’ corporate office.
Dixon earned a master’s degree in strategic public relations from The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Communications from Southeastern University.
“Melissa brings a level of enthusiasm and experience in communications, marketing and public relations that will be a great asset to Erie County,” Dahlkemper said.
