Fourteenth fest to kick off summer events in downtown Erie
The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Erie Downtown Partnership will
host the fifth annual 14th Fest on Thursday, June 11th, on 14th street between French and
Holland street. The event is to celebrate the beginning of summer and all that Downtown
Erie has to offer.
“EMTA is excited to continue our 14th Fest tradition for the fifth year in a row,” said EMTA
CEO, Jeremy Peterson. “It has been an energetic opening to the summer, with local
vendors and entertainment, shining a light on what we do in midcity.”
14th Fest is a family friendly event with free admission and open to the public from 5 to
10 PM. 14th Fest attractions include live music by Geek Army at 5:30PM, followed by
Twisted Lid around 8PM.
Other vendors include Odis 12, Kona Ice, Vintage Woodfire Pizza Truck, Chuck & Ginny’s,
Lavery Brewing, Erie Ale Works, The BrewErie and Union City Family Support Center.
In addition to the 14th Fest celebration, EMTA will be presenting awards to employees that
have served the EMTA for 20 years, as well as recognizing the 60th Year of the Authority’s
operations in a brief ceremony at 5PM.
“Taking an opportunity to acknowledge the milestones of our employees who have
dedicated two decades of their lives to transportation in Erie, while also reflecting on the
past 60 years of services overall is incredibly important,” says Peterson. “This ceremony
lets us reflect on the past and set goals for the future.”
