
NWPA Poetry presents Poetry In Poetry Park, a live poetry event on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 pm in Hold Fast to Dreams Poetry Park, 636 E 22 St, Erie’s outdoor venue dedicated to poetry.
Hear the voice of poetry in Erie, raise your own. Two poets are featured: poet, host, producer, multidimensional Mabel Howard and breakout performer from last year’s Poetry In Poetry Park Around Zabawa Nathan Large. Event includes poetry open mic, hosted by Chuck Joy. (Sign-ups with Chuck on site). All ages, free admission. Bring your own chair. Bring your own poetry or just listen.
Hold Fast To Dreams Poetry Park, the creation of the late poet and visionary Mary Lou Kownacki, OSB, is located on the north side of E 22, between Reed and Ash Streets, across from her childhood home. Extra parking is available next to Holy Trinity Church.
Poetry In Poetry Park is presented in collaboration with the Penn State Master Gardeners of Erie and opens with a neighborhood gathering in the Trinity Square Community Garden at 1:00 pm
