The former First Lady will headline this year’s Jefferson Educational Society Global Summit on Oct. 12 at the Erie Insurance Arena
The Jefferson Educational Society, the nonpartisan think tank headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, known for its signature fall speaker series, the Global Summit, has added the former First Lady Michelle Obama to its list of presenters this fall. “A Moderated Conversation with Michelle Obama” will take place on Monday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Erie Insurance Arena.
“Each year, the Global Summit connects the region with some of the most influential voices of our time, which is why we are honored Mrs. Obama will be joining us in conversation” said JES President Dr. Ferki Ferati. “Last year’s summit demonstrated what is possible when a community commits to intellectual engagement at the highest level. Mrs. Obama continues that tradition, bringing a unique perspective shaped by achievement across multiple fields and a career defined by innovation, leadership and impact, even in uncertain times.”
