The Erie SeaWolves are supporting local scouts going to the National Scout Jamboree by granting permission to use different team logos on an exclusive collector’s patch set designed to be traded with other scouts. The patch sets are widely traded at the national jamboree and will be kept as mementos as most scouts only get one chance in their scouting careers to go to the jamboree which is only held once every four years. The patch sets generally reflect important aspects of the area where the scouts live, and the Erie SeaWolves are a core scouting memory for many of them with their annual scout sleepover in the outfield event.
“Of the many fun and exciting things scouts get to do in scouting, the scout sleepover in the SeaWolves outfield is a favorite with the youth and their parents,” said Vince DeBernardo, the 2026 National Jamboree Contingent Scoutmaster for the French Creek Council. “The SeaWolves have supported scouting for as long as I can remember, and their willingness to allow us to use logos for a patch set elevates our set over many that will be available at the National Jamboree this year.”
“Scouts will carry these keepsakes and memories with them for years, if not a lifetime, and we’re honored to be a part,” said Greg Coleman, President of the Erie SeaWolves. “The annual sleepover in the outfield at UPMC Park is a special experience. We’re proud to help foster a love of the outdoors in a memorable baseball setting.”
The 2026 National Scout Jamboree is held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia and will host over 15,000 scouts for 10 days at the end of July. Patch trading is a major part of the event to help scouts from all over the country meet and interact with each other to share aspects of their home region.
