There was a body found at Lawrence Park in Lake Erie early Sunday evening. This comes as people are still launching efforts to find Fisherman Corey Zearfoss that went missing on July 8th. The body was found by 2 jet skiers on Sunday shortly after 5 pm.
Efforts were made not only by Law Enforcement Agencies, but the Facebook Page “Search Efforts for Corey Zearfoss” provided assistance for people assisting in efforts to find him and getting updates on the search. According to the page, “With heavy hearts, we want to let everyone know that our beloved Corey has been found”. The family has expressed thanks and gratefulness, and asks for thoughts and prayers during this tough time.
According to Erie News Now, the identity of the body will be announced some time Tuesday morning by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook.
