Community celebrations planned across Erie County on Tuesday, August 4
United Way of Erie County is partnering with the Erie County District Attorney’s Office to support 20 National Night Out events taking place throughout Erie County on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
For more than 20 years, United Way has supported local National Night Out celebrations that bring neighbors together and strengthen relationships among residents, first responders, community organizations and local leaders. The partnership with the District Attorney’s Office will support events in neighborhoods and communities across the county.
“National Night Out is one of the most important community-building events of the year. The District Attorney’s Office is honored to partner with United Way to support these valuable events and proud to contribute financially to their success,” said the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. “National Night Out brings neighbors, law enforcement and community leaders together in a positive and meaningful way, and continues to demonstrate the power of partnership, trust and neighborhood pride. We look forward to joining our neighbors in making this year’s events a success.”
National Night Out celebrations take many forms, including block parties, cookouts, youth activities, safety demonstrations and community resource fairs. While each event is unique, they share a common goal: creating opportunities for people to connect with their neighbors and the organizations that serve their communities.
Attendees can enjoy family-friendly activities, food and entertainment while meeting first responders, community leaders and representatives from local organizations. The events also provide residents with opportunities to learn about resources available to support children, families and neighborhoods.
