Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49) will host a free Unclaimed Property Assistance Event on Thursday, July 30, to help residents search for and recover money or property being held by the Pennsylvania Treasury.
Treasury representatives will be on hand to assist attendees with searching the state’s unclaimed property database and beginning the claims process. Pennsylvanians are encouraged to stop by, as there is no cost to search or file a claim.

Unclaimed property includes items such as dormant bank accounts, uncashed paychecks, insurance benefits, utility deposits and the contents of abandoned safe deposit boxes.
Residents are encouraged to bring identification and any information that may help locate potential property, such as previous addresses or former names.
