At Gannon University, education is intentionally designed to be personal, experiential and outcomes-focused. Through close faculty mentorship, hands-on learning and a strong sense of community, students are supported from their first year through graduation and beyond. That holistic approach to student success has been recognized nationally for the 2026–27 academic year.

Gannon has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction, a trusted guide that highlights institutions offering a high-quality undergraduate experience grounded in engagement, teaching excellence, community and successful outcomes. Rather than relying on traditional rankings, Colleges of Distinction evaluates how colleges and universities create meaningful, transformative experiences for students throughout their academic journey.

“At Gannon, our focus has always been on creating an educational experience where students feel supported, challenged and connected from their first day on campus through graduation and beyond,” said Sarah Ewing, Ph.D., provost and vice president for student experience. “This recognition affirms the work our faculty and staff do every day to ensure learning is active, personal and rooted in real-world impact, while helping students of all backgrounds — including transfer students — find a place where they can thrive academically, professionally and personally.”
