Tuesday night at midnight, the Erie community received a preliminary total for the 16th annual Erie Gives online giving event.
The ErieGives.org website announced that $11,059,729 was raised from 11,298 donors in support of 546 local non-profits. TalkErie News has learned that like in other years, the midnight total is not the final total, as staff at the Erie Community Foundation continue to count late incoming funds for the next several weeks.
According to the website, “These preliminary totals reflect an extraordinary day of generosity across our community. Over the coming weeks, we will continue processing the many gifts we have received and look forward to sharing the official Erie Gives 2026 results, the final Bonus Bucks distribution, and the full impact of our community’s support in late September.”
The leading top dollar recipient is Mercy Center for Women with a preliminary $518,662 raised. The non-profit with the most donations preliminarily is the ANNA Shelter with 1,178 donations.
